A season should become part of something bigger
Management games naturally create stories. A player signed as a teenager can become captain. A club expected to struggle can produce an extraordinary promotion. A painful cup defeat can become the beginning of a rivalry. Those moments become more valuable when the game preserves them instead of treating the next season as a clean slate.
That is one of the central ideas behind Legacy Eleven: every campaign should add another chapter to the identity of your club.
Players should leave a legacy
The squad will always change, but the people who shaped the club should remain part of its story. Academy graduates, long-serving captains, prolific goalscorers, record transfers and managers who oversaw defining eras should be remembered through records and historical context.
We want a player to be able to look back years later and understand not only who is in the team now, but how the club became what it is.
Trophies need context
A trophy cabinet is more meaningful when every honour has a story attached to it. Winning a first league title after years of rebuilding should feel different from defending a championship during a dominant era. Promotions, relegations and cup runs all contribute to that context.
Persistent competition records are therefore part of a wider history system rather than isolated statistics. The aim is to make success feel earned because the journey remains visible.
Rivalries can grow from what actually happens
Football identity is shaped by repeated encounters and memorable moments. A promotion battle, a run of difficult derbies or a dramatic final can give two clubs a shared history. Preserving results and milestones creates the foundation for those relationships to feel personal to each save.
Your club should visibly change
History is not only a list of results. Stadium development, facilities, finances, ownership decisions and the growth of a multi-club network can all change what the organisation looks like over time. The club you manage years into a save should carry evidence of the decisions that brought it there.
Your club. Your history. Your legacy.
That phrase is more than a tagline for us. It describes the structure we are building around the game. You manage the club, your decisions create its history, and that history becomes your legacy.
